Measuring guide

Take your measurements with a non-stretch tape, standing upright in thin clothing. The numbers mark the measuring points on the figure.

  1. 1Bust girth — Around the fullest part of the bust, tape parallel to the floor.
  2. 2Waist girth — Around the narrowest part of the waist (usually just above the navel).
  3. 3Hip girth — Around the widest part of the hips.
  4. 4Back length — From the nape (7th neck vertebra) down to the waistline.
  5. 5Across-back width — Between the two armholes, across the middle of the back.
  6. 6Body length — From the top of the shoulder to the desired hem.
  7. 7Sleeve length — From the shoulder point to the wrist with the arm slightly bent.
  8. 8Inside leg — From the crotch down the inner leg to the ankle.
  9. 9Skirt length — From the waistline to the desired length.

The dart is pivoted around the bust point; seam lengths are preserved.

Cutting label Pro

Leave blank for the standard label (piece name, cutting quantity, fabric class, pattern name). Placeholders: {piece} piece, {qty} quantity, {size} size, {fabric} fabric class, {title} pattern name, {date} date. Type brand/style codes as plain text.

Paper size Pro

A0/A1/A2 plotter output; a single sheet when the content fits.

Grading Pro

Girths follow the step; every other measurement follows its published increment (back length +0.5 cm, shoulder +0.6 cm, sleeve +0.75 cm per size).

Lining patterns Pro

Derived from the shell by workroom rule, not copied from it: a centre-back movement pleat, 2.5 mm of armhole ease so the inner layer does not bind, and a hem and sleeve that stop short of the shell's finished edge.

Marker / fabric layout Pro

Lays the pieces out without breaking the straight grain: a piece is turned 180° only when that saves fabric and never on its side; shell fabric, lining and interfacing get separate markers, with consumption and utilization.
